FiberLean achieves ISO 9001 and 14001 certification
Dual ISO certification strengthens our role in the growth of microfibrillated cellulose technologies
FiberLean has successfully achieved both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications for the design and supply of equipment used in the production of microfibrillated cellulose (MFC), marking a significant milestone in the company’s operational development.
The dual certification reinforces FiberLean’s position as a trusted technology partner for MFC production equipment, demonstrating its commitment not only to quality and operational excellence, but also to responsible environmental management.
ISO 9001 recognises the company’s focus on consistent quality, traceability, robust processes and continuous improvement, while ISO 14001 provides independent verification of its structured approach to managing environmental impact, resource efficiency and sustainability.
As demand grows for higher-performance and cost-effective fiber-based materials across packaging, tissue, white top liners and specialist paper applications, MFC is gaining increasing attention for its ability to enhance strength, barrier performance and material efficiency. In certain applications, including food packaging, MFC produced using FiberLean technology is also compliant with BfR and FDA recommendations for food contact materials, supporting its use in regulated environments. In this context, the ability to produce MFC reliably, efficiently and responsibly at scale is critical.
FiberLean’s certifications reinforce its ability to support customers across these sectors, providing confidence not only in the consistency and performance of its grinding systems, but also in the environmental considerations embedded within its operations and solutions.
For customers, the certifications reflect strengthened project management, design controls and supply chain processes, alongside improved risk management and a clear framework for reducing environmental impact. This is particularly important when implementing new production technologies, where operational stability, process control and sustainability objectives must align.
David Skuse, Managing Director at FiberLean, says:
“Achieving both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 is a significant milestone for our business.
It reflects not only the quality of our processes, but also our responsibility to operate in an environmentally conscious way – underpinned by the dedication and professionalism of our entire team.
As interest in MFC continues to grow, our customers can be confident that we are equipped to support them with reliable, well-engineered solutions that align with both quality and environmental best practice as we continue to innovate in this sector”
Strategically, the certifications strengthen FiberLean’s position as a trusted partner in the growing MFC sector. They support the company’s expansion into global markets, enable participation in larger-scale opportunities and demonstrate its systems are mature, scalable and aligned with both quality and environmental best practice.
As the industry continues to explore ways to reduce reliance on conventional plastics, the ability to deliver consistent, high-performance fiber-based solutions with a reduced environmental footprint will be increasingly important.
FiberLean’s dual certification marks another step in its continued development as an industrial partner supporting this transition.
