FiberLean Microfibrillated Cellulose Grinders
Vertical wet stirred media mill geometry. Low cost, energy efficient, and robust. Enables high throughput continuous microfibrillated cellulose production with high uptime and low maintenance costs. 100% mechanical, additive-free process. Protected by an extensive patent portfolio.
In a FiberLean grinder, collisions between grinding beads break and fibrillate intervening fibres into MFC. Process parameter optimisation can vary collision energies by orders of magnitude, allowing for efficient fibrillation of a wide variety of cellulose pulps and control of MFC properties. Multiple FiberLean grinders can be installed in a modular manner depending on throughput requirements, with two sizes available:

Full-scale FiberLean MFC Grinders
Designed with the paper and board industry in mind, our full-scale grinders have a capacity of 700 – 1400 dry metric tonnes of MFC per annum depending on the MFC characteristics required. They can be installed in a modular manner to suit any capacity requirement.
Small-scale FiberLean MFC Grinders
Our small-scale grinder is ideal for scenarios where the full capacity of the full-scale grinder is not required. It has a capacity of around 400 dry metric tonnes of MFC per annum depending on the MFC characteristics required and is perfect for moulded fibre producers and other specialty MFC applications.
